This 1992 Ferrari 348 TS is powered by a 3.4-liter DOHC V8 paired with a dogleg five-speed manual transaxle and is finished in Giallo Modena over Nero Connolly leather. The design of the 348 was overseen by Pininfarina chief stylist Leonardo Fioravanti and was the final V8-powered Ferrari model developed under the direction of Enzo Ferrari. This example is finished in Giallo Modena with black lower-body panels and features a removable black roof panel as well as pop-up headlights, fog lights, side air intakes, louvered taillights, and quad exhaust tips. The 17″ five-spoke alloy wheels are mounted with tires measuring 215/50 up front and 255/45 out back. Stopping power is provided by Ferrari-branded calipers over ventilated discs along with an anti-lock system.
The cabin features bucket seats upholstered in Nero Connolly leather along with a color-coordinated dashboard, center console, and door panels. Carpeted floor mats line the footwells, and equipment includes a dogleg-pattern gated shifter, air conditioning, a heated rear window, power windows and door locks, and a Sony cassette stereo with a front trunk-mounted CD changer and aftermarket amplifier. Wear is visible on the seats and seat-adjustment levers. A leather-wrapped steering wheel frames Veglia Borletti instrumentation including a 200-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 7,500-rpm redline, and gauges for coolant temperature and oil pressure. Auxiliary gauges for oil temperature and fuel level are mounted in the center stack. The six-digit odometer shows 16k miles.
The 3.4-liter quad-cam Tipo F119 V8 features Bosch Motronic engine management and was factory rated at 296 horsepower and 238 lb-ft of torque. Service in 2019 consisted of replacing the timing belts, clutch, and water pump. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential.
