Overview

This 2000 Ferrari 550 Maranello is a European-market example that was imported to the US in September 2001 and federalized by G & K Auto Conversion in Santa Ana, California. The car is powered by a 5.5-liter V12 paired with a six-speed manual transaxle and is finished in Rosso Corsa over black leather. The car is equipped with a limited-slip differential, a gated shifter, 18″ five-spoke wheels, a Tubi Style exhaust system, power-adjustable Daytona-style seats, and Scuderia Ferrari fender shields. Acquired by the WCDM in Sept 2022, this 550 Maranello shows 16k miles and is now offered in Vancouver, BC with manufacturer’s literature and accessories, importation documents, service records, spare parts, a clean Carfax report, and a clean BC registration.

The 550 Maranello was styled by Pininfarina, and this example is finished in Rosso Corsa with black lower accents. Equipment includes projector-style headlights, fog lights, a hood scoop, a front spoiler, front fender vents, Scuderia Ferrari fender shields, and quad exhaust tips exiting through the rear bumper cover. The 18″ five-spoke wheels are mounted with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. Braking is handled by red-finished Ferrari-branded calipers over cross-drilled and ventilated rotors at all four corners. The lower control arm bushings were replaced in January 2020, together with an alignment and corner balancing.

The cabin features power-adjustable Daytona-style seats upholstered in black leather with red stitching. Black quilted leather with red stitching also trims the rear parcel shelf and headliner, and amenities include a gated shifter, automatic climate control, electric windows, a CD stereo, and a hi-fi sound system. The leather-wrapped steering wheel fronts a Jaeger gauge cluster with a replacement 220-mph speedometer as well as a tachometer with a 7,600-rpm redline and gauges for coolant temperature and oil pressure, while an analog clock and gauges for oil temperature and fuel level are located atop the center stack. The six-digit odometer shows 16k miles.

The 5.5-liter quad-cam F133A V12 features 48 valves, dry-sump lubrication, and Bosch Motronic engine management for a factory-rated output of 478 horsepower and 419 lb-ft of torque. Records indicate that the most recent timing belt service was performed in December 2016 at 8k miles. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. Records indicate that the clutch components and secondary hydraulic clutch cylinder were replaced in December 2016. A Tubi Style exhaust system has been added. Manufacturer’s literature and accessories as well as importation documents, service records, Ferrari-branded covers, and the removed factory exhaust system are included in the sale.

The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists registration history in Oregon. The California Bureau of Automotive Repair Vehicle Information Label is dated December 10th, 2001. The car most recently passed a California emissions inspection in August 2022.
