This 2018 Dodge Challenger Demon is one of five examples in the world featuring a carbon fiber body built by SpeedKore Performance Group of Grafton, Wisconsin, and shows just under 1700 kms. The car was used as a development vehicle to create carbon fiber components for the Dodge Challenger Widebody and to showcase the company’s pre-impregnated carbon fiber manufacturing process. Power comes from a modified supercharged 6.2-liter Hemi V8 paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, and the car features an infotainment system, air conditioning, and cruise control. This Demon is offered with a window sticker, manufacturer’s literature, and a clean BC Registration. The carbon fiber body is 200 pounds lighter than the factory steel panels, and was formed using carbon fiber fabric pre-impregnated with epoxy resin, then molded and cured by SpeedKore using their in-house autoclave. Additional features include a carbon fiber hood with hold-down pins and a factory-style Air-Grabber scoop as well as an Air-Catcher driver-side headlamp that sends additional fresh air to the engine bay. Black 18″×11″ aluminum wheels are mounted with 315/40 Demon-branded Nitto NT555 front and rear. Features include Launch Assist and electrically-assisted power steering.
The cabin houses Demon-branded black leather seats with Alcantara inserts and white stitching, a UConnect infotainment system, cruise control, air conditioning, and a back seat. The Alcantara-wrapped multi-function steering wheel is equipped with paddle shifters and frames a tachometer, a 200-mph speedometer, and a digital display that shows just under 1700 kms. A badge above the glovebox indicates that this is Demon #118.
The supercharged 6.2-liter Hemi V8 was factory-rated at 808 horsepower and 717 lb-ft of torque on premium fuel, recent modifications have increased the horsepower to 1028 HP and 1049 lb-ft of torque . The 2.7-liter supercharger is capable of producing 14.5 psi of boost and is fitted with a Demon plaque. Upgrades over the stock Hellcat engine include strengthened connecting rods and pistons, a modified valvetrain and cooling system, dual-stage fuel pumps, and a 6,500-rpm redline. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission that features a TransBrake and a manual shifting mode. A window sticker and manufacturer’s literature are included in the sale.
The Carfax report lists entries in Wisconsin from and shows no accidents or other damage. The car carries an extended warranty until April 25, 2023.
