This 1968 Fiat Dino Spider is one of approximately 1,133 2.0-liter V6-powered examples produced between 1967 and 1968, and it was imported to the US under prior ownership. The Dino V6 is equipped with triple Weber carburetors and mated to a five-speed manual transmission. The body is finished in silver, and the car is equipped with a black soft top, chrome bumpers, a Nardi steering wheel, an aftermarket stereo, and 14” Cromodora wheels. A stainless-steel exhaust system has been installed.
This Dino Spider is now offered in Vancouver with a clean BC Registration listing it as a 1969 model. The Pininfarina-styled Dino Spider debuted at the Turin Motor Show in October 1966. This example was repainted in the current silver under prior ownership and details include chrome bumpers and side trim, a left-side mirror, clear side marker lenses, and quad headlights and taillights. Cromodora 14” wheels wear yellow Fiat-branded center caps and are wrapped in 195/70 Fulda tires. A matching spare with an older Dunlop tire is stored in the trunk. The suspension is comprised of coil-sprung control arms at the front and a leaf-sprung live rear axle with quad shock absorbers at the rear. The Nardi steering wheel wears a Dino-branded horn button and frames Veglia Borletti metric instrumentation consisting of a tachometer with an 8k-rpm redline, a 250-km/h speedometer, and auxiliary gauges indicating oil temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and water temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 72k kilometers (‾45k miles).
The Ferrari-designed aluminum 2.0-liter Dino V6 features quad chain-driven overhead camshafts, a Magneti Marelli Dinoplex ignition system, and triple Weber downdraft carburetors. Per the seller, the car was recently serviced with fluid changes and installation of a stainless-steel exhaust system. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a ZF five-speed manual transmission.
