This 1966 Cadillac Eldorado convertible is finished in white over a white leather interior and powered by a 429ci V8 linked with a three-speed automatic transmission. The car was finished from the factory in Strathmore White (12) and the body was repainted. Exterior features include a replacement white soft top, chrome bumpers and rocker trim, a left-side mirror, removable rear fender skirts, a power antenna, and stacked headlights with aftermarket LED ‘halo’ rings. Steel 15″ wheels wear 1957 model-year hubcaps and are mounted with whitewall tires. The car is equipped with power steering, and braking is handled by power-assisted four-wheel drums. The braking components were cleaned and adjusted in March 2021.
The cabin houses front and rear bench seats that were upholstered in white leather along with color-coordinated door panels that feature walnut wood trim. Amenities include a power-operated front seat, automatic climate control, power windows and locks, a retro-style digital stereo, cupholders, Twilight Sentinel automatic lighting control, and a trunk-mounted Kicker subwoofer. The air conditioning blower motor and mode actuator were replaced in April 2022. The leather-wrapped steering wheel is mounted on a telescoping and tilting column and fronts a horizontal-sweep 120-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The 429ci V8 is equipped with a four-barrel carburetor and was factory rated at 340 horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque. Work performed in September 2020 included replacement of the oil pan gasket, oil pressure sender, valve cover gaskets, exhaust pipe gaskets, starter, alternator, battery, and heater hoses. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed Turbo Hydra–Matic automatic transmission. A replacement transmission pan was installed in September 2020, at which time the transmission fluid was changed.
