The Austin-Healey Bugeye Sprite is a delightfully quirky, lightweight British roadster. Launched in 1958, it is famous for its prominent, fixed "bug eyes" and smiley-face grille. Weighing under 1,450 pounds and packing an eager 948cc engine, it delivers an unmatched, analog "tossable" driving experience that feels surprisingly quick.
This Sprite is a 1961 MK1 model, built in January 61', which has now had a full nuts and bolts restoration completed in 2025, although the extensive and precise restoration began with the metalwork back in 2019. There is a list of all completed work that shows work such as new floors, rocker panels, spring boxes, twin 1-1/2 inHS2 SU Carburettors, front disc brakes and much more. Included with the sale will be a new tonneau cover, front bumper and brackets, front licence plate bracket, workshop manual, drivers handbook, original steering wheel and jack with spare tire.
First in class car winning the Vancouver All British Field Meet (ABFM) award in 2025 and 2026.
